MALLOW A.C. - 10MILE ROAD RACE RESULTS

Well done to Dermot Kearns on his 6th place finish in the Mallow AC 10 mile road race yesterday. Jow Chawke was not far behind him in 13th place and first man over 45 across the line. Derek Mackessy also finished in an impressive time of 1 hr 11 mins, followed by Karena O'Mahoney and Conor Lovett. A special mention to Tracey Roche who was the second lady home overall.

On Sunday 7th February please come along to the NUIG grounds in Dangan to participate in the Galway 6k Run for Haiti. All are welcome, runners, joggers, walkers and families. Please give an hour of your time to join this “Galway meitheal” to show solidarity with the devastated families in Haiti.

The run follows a circuit from the Maree Community Centre out onto Galway Bay down the Tawin penisula and back to the community centre, rolling and accurately measured
The Maree 8k Run & Fun Walk will take place in the senic surrounds of Maree, Oranmore, Co Gaway. Funds raised in the event will be used to develop local sporting facilities. The race is being organised by the Maree Development Organisation .It is open to runners and walkers of all ages.
Registration will take place at the Maree community centre, opens at 11:00am and closes at 12:15pm. Post race refreshements, prize giving at 2:30pm.

10 km Charity Run/Walk in Mallow on the 14th of February 2010. All proceeds in aid of Irish Heart Foundation. Run starts and finishes at Mallow GAA Complex. For all levels of athletes. It being Valentine's Day, a special prize of a dinner for two will be raffled off between any couples that enter. Bring the whole family for a fun and energetic walk/run. €10 entry fee.
