Kilkenny 1/2 Marathon & 10K |

Course description: The half marathon starts in the heart of Kilkenny City and leads out into the surrounding countryside. There are some small hills but generally the course is fast. There is a scenic finish in linear park along the river Nore. This provides a family friendly setting.
Parking and shower facilities are close to the start and finish points.
The 10 km race also starts and finishes at the same places as the half marathon, but remains within the city boundaries.

The Munster Senior and Novice Roads Championships will be held this weekend in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick. Volunteers are required and are asked to meet in the square, Rathkeale at 12:30PM

Subject to confirmation, the mens 4-mile race will start at 1PM. The womens 2-mile race will start at 1:45PM with . The novice and senior races will be run together.

30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF WEST LIMERICK A.C. |

West Limerick A.C. was founded in 1979 – I think the 30 year anniversary should be marked by the publication of an article in the Irish Runner Magazine. I have already been in contact with Frank Greally, the editor and he is willing to publish such an article.
However, I will need assistance to do so. I was hardly born when the Club was founded ( very slight exaggeration ) I am hoping that some of the more established members of the club will make contact with me and assist in its publication. I would need a brief history of the club, some old photographs. I can deal with the current successes.
