Well done to all West Limerick AC runners who participated in the Ballycotton run yesterday. We had a great turnout. First home for the club was Niall O'Riordan in a time of  1 hr 4 minutes.    Next home was Kevin Johnson followed by John  O'Shea, Seamus Cawley, Liam Liddy, Sarah Mitchell, Brian Bryce, Willie Costello, Martha Eames, Karena O'Mahony and Marian Freney. Fabulous weather contributed to a very successful 10k road race this afternoon in Adare. The race was won in style by Liam Reale of Limerick AC in a time of 31 mins 48 secs followed in second place by Paul Buckley. Labeta Debela was in third place. First West Limerick Runner home was Dermot Kearns in 8th place followed closely behind by Ger Guinoa in 9th.

In the ladies event, Rosemary Ryan of Bilboa AC swept home in a terrific time of 36 mins and Tracey Roche, Dooneen AC in second place followed by Mary Sweeney (St Finbarrs). First West Limerick AC runner home was Fiona Burke. Well done Fiona 

Well done to a large number of our newer club runners who competed today. Lisa Blackwell and Kathleen Blackwell performed really well and Bernie Barron ran the race with her daughter Natalie who ran her first 10k in a respectable 57 mins!!

All club members are asked to attend the club meeting tonight at 8:30 in Rathkeale. The county intermediate cross country race and vetern race will be held this Sunday at UL. Members wishing to compete should contact club coach, Joe Chalke in advance. All events start at midday. We had a poor showing at the novice event two weeks ago so please make the effort this weekend.
