LIMERICK SUMMER RUN SERIES!! STARTING THIS THURSDAY |

An exciting run series has been planned for this summer in Limerick. It starts with a 3 mile run at the Country Club this Thursday,  8th July at 7.30pm, a 5k run on July 15th starting a Southhill Community Centre, a 4 mile run organised by Doneen AC on August 5th and finishing with a 6k run organised by UL Rowing Club boathouse on 26th August!!

A huge turnout of over 225 runners last night at Bilboa AC , Cappamore. The weather was also kind and the heat of the previous three nights was not as prevalent. The West LImerick AC brigade were well represented too. Home first was Michael Herlihy in a brillian time of 31mins 45secs. followed by Labela Debeta of Limerick AC and Martin Doody of Limerick AC who has returned to form. Rosemary Ryan of Bilboa AC togged out and competed at the last minute to win the ladies race, followed by a an excellent run by Tracey Roche of Doneen AC and Mary Louise Ryan also of Bilboa AC. Dermot Kearns was the first West Limerick AC runner home in 5th place and Fiona Bourke was first lady home. The 10th annual run is held on an accurate 10k loop, starting from the clubhouse via Cappamore and back to the club. Parking, showers and changing facilities are available and refreshments after the race.
Walkers set off at 7.30pm, runners at 8pm sharp.
Entries close at 7:30pm

Entry fee: €5 walkers, €10 runners. Register at the clubhouse from 6pm.
(Race signposted from Cappamore, Doon, Rearcross and Pallasgreen)
Course is well-marked, stewards and water at various points.

Well done to all West Limerick AC runners who participated in the Tulla 10k on Saturday evening. It was a well supported event and glad to see so many runners turning out.
The race was won by Aonghas Mac Domhnaill of West Limerick, Joe Chawke Chawke was in 5th place, Niall O'Riordan in 7th and Mike Mac Domhnaill in 10th. First West Limerick lady home was Carmel. Derek Mackessy, Patricia MacNamara adn David Noonan also competed. Well done to all.

Friends of Ollie in Association with Milltown GAA are hosting the first Annual Milltown 10k “Run for Ollie”
Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome.

If you wish to enter via post, you can download a application form from www.friendsofollie.com/events and return it to us here at The Friends of Ollie, Milltown Community Centre, Milltown, Tuam, Co. Galway, together with the entry fee of €30
Parking, registration, changing, and showering facilities will be available in the Milltown GAA Grounds, located on the Ballindine side of Milltown.
There will be a team of Physios on hand to get you going and to put you back together when you are have finished the race.
The run has been officially measured and we AAI certification is pending
Presentation of the Prizes will take place in Sheridan’s Bar Milltown
The closing date for entry is Friday 11th June 2010.
